Dry Needling
Dry needling uses a very fine, solid filament needle to cause a small, precise injury or “lesion” in the tissue when it enters the body. Needling in a painful ‘trigger point’ or muscular knot frequently provokes a “twitch” response from the muscle that will relax it and reduce inflammation. Dry needling can address muscle, tendon and myofascial pain and reduces trigger points. Dry needling can be the most effective treatment for knots and trigger points sustained from chronic muscular pain and repetitive overuse injuries.
